The BOC season reached it’s half way point at Dudley, it was a very friendly and
well organised meeting, -
Saloon
James Cleave gave his Nationals winning saloon car another outing, he top qualified and won the A final, and topped Brian Saunders’ B final time by 3½ laps. Martin Ellis took third overall (second in the A) a lap down on Brian, while Paul Harwood’s B final run was good for 4th overall a lap behind Martin. Christopher Aldridge was 5th overall, and main grade winner by just under 3 laps from Stephen Siddall.
F1
In F1, Martin Ellis was very quick in qualifying, but was out at half distance in
the final with gear failure. The A final still provided a close contest with James
Cleave winning by just over a lap from Paul Shepherd. Brain Saunders again won the
B final, this time it was good for third overall, a lap up on Lee Parsons’ A final
run with Gain Wills 5th. The main grade, winner was Chris Aldridge -
Sports
James Cleave completed his clean sweep with a sports win by 2 laps from Brian Saunders. Paul Shepherd took third, with Christopher Aldridge an impressive 4th overall (from the C final!) Lee Parsons was 5th. Stephen Siddall took another second in main grade (7th overall).
