A Final

Saturday’s second event was F2 - a class with a free choice of chassis but with the motor options restricted to Hawks and Eagles.  28 drivers entered, they ran in four 7 driver finals.   The production qualifying order was used to seed the finals.
The D final winner was Chris Clements on 179, some 9 laps ahead of Steve Rhodes.  Keith Gibson took the lead so far with 182 laps in the C final.  Keith’s score was beaten in the B final Richard Beamish with 185 and Elliot O’Gorman on 183.
Josh Bryant won the A final on 193, he was 4 laps ahead of  Gavin Wills with Simon Scott third.   Richard, Elliot, Keith and Chris took the next places - we don’t often see drivers from all 4 finals in the top 7!

Josh has won this event 3 years running,   Richard Beamish was top clubman with 4th overall.

Thanks to everybody who made this such an enjoyable days racing, special thanks to Sammy for the catering.

Josh’s winning car had a Grogan chassis with a  JK Hawk 7BB motor geared 10:33.  He used Prima tyres on 9.5mm diameter hubs.

Josh’s winning time was within 2 laps of his winning score in the last two years. The track record is 202.62 set by James Cleave in 2022

1st Josh Bryant                                      2nd Gavin Wills                             3rd Simon Scott

            4th Richard Beamish                            5th Elliot O’Gorman
